Storm in my Soul

I turn my face towards the full moon
To let its white light bathe me
All I can find are thunderclouds
Hovering menacingly above my head

I feel the rain pelting me
Slicing my skin with the harsh cold
I run to the trees behind
And shiver as I go

The lightning strikes around me
Crackling with every bolt
I feel the heat with every hit
Trapped in an electric cage

I see the full moon
And I watch the wolf pay homage to it
There is calm as far as the eye can see
Except for the storm around me

It frightens me, this storm in my soul
For someday it will cease
What will happen when the storm is gone?
Will the peace mean I am.....

dead?
